The book was delivered yesterday and my daughter walked around our home with her nose stuck in it for a couple hours. I had to pry it out of her hands to get her through homework, dinner, and a bath. y understanding is that there are 3 stories in this book.This is the fourth Cam Jansen book we've bought. I'm really delighted to find a lengthy series for an almost-eight year old who has outgrown Amelia Bedelia but isn't ready yet for Harry Potter. The heroine, nicknamed Cam because of her photographic memory, is plucky, funny, and kind.
Cam Jansen is a great series of books for children who enjoy a good mystery. This book is three mysteries in one. Cam and Eric go to summer camp only to find out that someone put up a box for snack money that wasn't part of the camp! The thief had to be found and quickly before they could get away. Thank goodness Cam and Eric were there to put the clues together and help them find the thief. The story begins with one mystery and by the end two more mysteries need to be solved. It is a great read during summer vacation when all of our children are also attending camp!These books are easy reading for young children just starting to read chapter books. They are a fun series that keeps the children turning the page to see where the mystery will lead you to next. Fun book! Great storytelling. I use the Cam Jansen series with my low intermediate esl students becasue the characters and story are mature enough to hold teenager's interest while the writing is a third grade level.
This review was given to me by my five year old who read this book.It was the best I ever read in my life and I love Cam Jansen. I loved all of the mysteries in it. And my favorite was the one where they found the of the prizes. I love the books.
My five-year old daughter has just gotten interested in chapter books (I'm reading them to her) and she really loved Fancy Nancy's first chapter book, so I looked for others that were similar. I happened across the Cam Jansen series, and I'm really glad I did. My daughter loved the three books in this collection, all mysteries set up at the camp Cam attends with her best friend Eric. Each night after reading a few chapters, my daughter would discuss the mystery, and she really got into the stories. Now we are visiting our public library and working our way through the other Cam Jansen books, and my daughter is saying "Click" a lot! Cute, fun books.
This was a birthday present for my goddaughter, and she loved it. She said it was the best present she received. She started reading it immediately.....
Nice to have this 3-in-1 format for my 6 year old who devours these books. Kept her busy for almost a whole day!
