Read this for Pastoral Ministry in Seminary. It's a book I will return to often. It's a little dated but sobering, at times hilarious but extremely helpful. Pastoring is a high calling. Spurgeon can help.

This book is excellent for every man accepting the call to preach. This should be required reading before any ordination service!

This is one of the best ministry guides ever written. That Charles Spurgeon has a keen understanding of human nature. Profound but hilarious reading! Sometimes I laugh out loud.

Great book! Very concise and gets into the mind of Spurgeon and why he did what he did. Very fair portrayal!

A must read for Pastor's and minister's all I could say is Wow!!!
