I really love these 5-minute story books. Of course, your kid will probably zone in on an handful of them and ignore the others, but TRUST ME, it may surprise you which ones they lock onto. For example, Wall-E. Really?? Loved that one and then we had to get the movie, etc. I love these because there are a lot of words on each page and just a few pictures per page. It's a great transition for big-kids that are transitioning to listening to long passages instead of just one-line-per-page-rhyming books. It's also great because it involves characters that he is familiar with but (in most cases) it's not the exact story from the movie. It's as if they took a detour from the main story in the movie or its a follow up story. For example, the Monster Inc. one is from the time-period when they are making kids laugh instead of scream. One of the Toy Story ones is where they are all living with Bonnie. I think the Wall-E one is a condensed version of the movie, but that is the only one I can think of that is that way.Overall, I think these 5-minute books are wonderful. There are tons of them out there -- Pixar, Disney Princesses, Spiderman, Marvel, and even some with classic Disney. You won't regret your purchase!

I bought this book for my son who is a huge cars fan. I like these stories because the characters are familiar, and the stories are creative. They are not re-telling of the movies, but have enough familiar themes to be relatable. I like that they didn't just re-tell the movies but created nice short stories with a plot. We read them over and over, and are very happy with this book.

This is one of my three year old daughter's favorite bed-time books, it has been for over a year now. It lives on my night stand. Sadly, for me it's my #1 most dreaded.I have nothing but love in my heart for Pixar, and everything they do. This book is a blemish on an otherwise spotless brand. The art in this book is spot-on and very well done. Unfortunately, the writing does not meet expectations. Some stories are better than others, but mostly they read as if they were written by a 6th grader. The sentences are short and awkward, and the flow is often stuttered and jarring. I can't tell if it's bad editing, bad writing, or if something else is going on, but I can definitely tell that it stinks. It almost feels like the authors were presented with the illustrations and tasked with coming up the text to fill in. As such, they come across as explaining the story, rather than storytelling. The writing in this book isn't bad per say, it's just not good. Which wouldn't be that big of a deal, except that I've read these stories over and over and over again. I hope that the minor suffering I've experienced can help other literate souls avoid this toddler-enticing book of 5 minute stories that seem to drag on for much longer, no matter how fast I read.

I ordered this book as a gift for my 3 year old nephew. I like that the stories are short, so that you can choose to read just one in a relatively short amount of time (for nights when you want to get them to sleep quick) or a few (for nights when you want to linger). I also like that these stories are not about just one specific Disney movie, but about many characters. The pictures are great - lively and colorful.

I love the 5-minute story books. We have all of them! The stories are perfect for little ones. The illustrations are nice and the stories keep them interested. My older son actually reads them himself. He likes the stories, but as an early reader, just out of kindergarten, they take him a bit longer than 5-minutes. I would say around 10-15 minutes per story. We've been such fans of this series that we often buy them as gifts!

High production values -- the paper, the drawings, the language, the positive messages. Nice balance of amount of text/pictures for toddlers looking for a longer story and parents who don't want to spend 20 minutes on one story. Good value for money. A huge hit with our 4-yr-old!

I love these books. I buy them whenever I see a good warehouse deal for my kids, or as supplemental gifts for birthday parties when a sibling is tagging along. They have great padded hard covers, and 5 minutes is about as long as I want to read for, so this is perfect. lol

My five-year-old son loves this book and so do I. Just right for bedtime and interesting enough stories that my nine-year-old daughter is even willing to read to her little brother for me from time to time. ;)
