A young family is happy until an accident takes the husbands life then leaves her with nothing for the family. A fire takes the lives of two young boys parents when a man takes them in. The man posts an advertisement for a Bride to help with the boys and the lady answered his post wanting to get help for her family by helping him. The children were not happy with the others, so things start to happen. A must read for those who enjoy historical western romance kindle books from at a special price and from a delightful author who keeps me entertained throughout the entire book before putting it down. A must read.
An interesting story that held my attention from beginning to end. The issues that the main character faced seemed realistic and I could easily understand why she chose to become a mail order bride. The blending of his children and her children was also well done. While this was a short story it never felt rushed. I plan on reading more from this author.
BETSY and Richard Thompson have three daughters, and one morning he kisses his wife goodbye goes to the mine to work and shortly after there is an explosion at the mine. Richard lost his life and Betsy needs to marry again to take care of the girls. Aubrey Fisher takes in two boys when their house burns down with his parent dying in it. He places an ad for a wife and needs help raising two boys. He does reveal they are not his biological children but he does intend to raise Henry and Roland as his own. Another good read from Susannah Calloway.
This story begins with a new widow with 3 children and no way to support them. Desperate she decides to become a Mail Order Bride. Her prospective groom has had a heartbreak himself and has become the caretaker of two small boys when their parents died in a fire. Will these two people be able to bring everyone together into a loving family?
