I was immediately drawn into this story. As a lover of horror and things that go bump in the night, I was surprised by the twist this novel took. Being it is based on the author's own experience on one of his paranormal investigations is a plus to the chills I received. It raised the hair on my arms and neck taking me on an emotional roller-coaster; the deeper I connected with the characters. Lovers of ghost stories, the paranormal or horror in general will love this book. This is a must read!
As an avid reader and being a fan of all things supernatural and believing in metaphysical world I must say I really enjoyed reading this book. The story takes you on a journey of the team members trying to help a family with hauntings, but it is written so beautifully that you really get to know this little girl and her story. Emotions run high in more than one part, there is suspense and some tears too. Not to spoil the book, but the story is enchanting and leaves you wishing it was longer. I was privileged to meet the author and the team and spend some time with them. For me it made everything more real and down to earth. I must say I can't wait for the next book in the series to find out what the team gets to endure on their investigations.
This story reaches out to grab you. You will alternate between feeling fear and heartfelt sorrow. It will be hard to read alone at night yet harder to put it down. Well written. I enjoyed experiencing this book :) Very creepy and very touching...
The story itself is spellbinding. It is a very comfortable read, drawing you into the authors world. I was left wishing the book was longer and even more descriptive. I look forward to the future books and exploring the history of the locations with each of its bodied and disembodied characters.
Forever Ash is truly an amazing story! As a paranormal investigator, I so appreciate the compassion that this team showed the client, but also the spirit of Ashley. This story sets a great example of how each case and/or client needs to be approached. An open mind, open ears, compassion, professionalism and the heart to truly want to help. EVP is very similar to my team in that we show up in one vehicle and respect the client's privacy. Kudos on that! Also, this team not only researched the location, but also researched the best way to handle the negative influences involved. Like us, you know when to reach out to help the client best. My heart will be forever touched by the story of Ashley... Rick really drew me into this story, and I almost feel as though I was there right along with EVP. This was very well written, and I appreciate the thought and talent behind these words. The story is beautiful and gripping. Also, I appreciate the help this small child received...
As a fellow paranormal investigator and author, I was curious about Rick's books. I purchased this book, thinking that I'd read a page or two and then come back to it later when I had more time. Of course, that's not what happened. I was immediately drawn in by the story telling and couldn't put it down until hours later. The paranormal world can be very dark and disturbing, something the author brilliantly unraveled, page by page. It's a very good read, and I recommend it to all my friends. Just don't read it right before bedtime or Ash might follow you into your dreams!
Forever ASH is the book you've been looking for, if you're into the paranormal! I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for something this good to come along in the paranormal book world. Not only is it BASED ON A TRUE STORY, which is what most of us die-hards really want (based on a true story or straight nonfiction), it's written extremely well! It flows smooth, while building suspense. Further, the author does not put in useless descriptive verbiage, etc., so you won't get frustrated or bored reading it. The characters are interesting as well.Couldn't put the book down!!!
I feel like a publisher needs to pick up this series ASAP. It's a ghost story, a tale of brave souls finding their way in a new business venture, and a special connection to the spirit world that warms the soul. It's real, it's funny, it's sad- it has it all!
