This is one of the Lifeguide Bible Studies, which is generally a good small group study series. My former Sunday School class liked the Lifeguide format and consequently used many of the guides. So I have first-hand experience, in an actual classroom setting, using many of the books in this series.I say all that to say this: This particular guide is the best, in my opinion, in this series. There are a couple of reasons for that. Some of the questions in these guides tend to be more subjectively focused on how you might feel about a particular passage or statement. The questions in this guide are more objectively focused on the actual text. The other reason is because the guide closely follows Stott's full-length book on this passage, which is also excellent (but that's another review). All of that makes this a much better than average small group study guide.

The "Sermon on The Mount" study provides a lot of thought provoking questions and background info with, room to expand! My group is really enjoying it and have said that it has taught them things they never knew.It is well written and allows the Minister or Facilitator to explore the needs of their particular group. Thank you for this wonderful study!

This is my first book teaching out of. Each lesson starts off the same way. A brief introduction followed by sample question to get the theme of the lesson started. Each lesson has about 10 to 12 questions with a application question at the end . Ive since moved on to use numerous lifeguide study books.

Mathew really talked to his life with Jesus in a buetiful eliquent way. This book is a lob for most group. A real slow pitch. It is great for folks in all walks from new christian to long old ready for heaven christian. I really enjoyed it.

The sermon on the mount is a great guide and facilitator for discussion on the Sermon on the Mount. The questions are well written and encourage group discussion. John Stott's commentary on the sermon on the mount is a very helpful tool.

This Bible study challenges you to grow closer and closer to Jesus and to live your life as He wants you to!! Excellent questions about the text and how it applies to your life.

I bought this book to help me prepare lessons for my adult Sunday school class. It was very useful in helping me brainstorm questions to guide our discussion even though I disagreed with the author on several points of theology and scripture interpretation.

My Sunday School class has enjoyed using this book. It is a very good coverage of the Sermon on the Mount.
