Good dictionary, but missing a lot of entries. We frequently have to consult a bigger dictionary, so that's annoying. Also, despite the name, this will not fit in a pocket unless you wear those ugly and outdated baggy jeans.
Got this for my 7 year old son last year. It is easy for a child to hold and contains some pictures that made it more enjoyable to use. I think I should have opted for the dictionary/thesaurus combo though. I ended up purchasing them separately.
I bought it for a 6 year old but it was really too advanced for him. I expected more photos. Still, it is a good buy.
