As a former seminary student I'm acquainted with a few of Wright's heavier academic works but this wonderful study (I'm happy to report!) is far from dust-dry theologizing. Dr. Wright's style is at once informative and engaging and the questions accompanying each lesson go a long way in generating in-depth discussion.I'm leading a small group through this book at the moment and would cheerfully commend this fine volume to both groups and individuals seeking personal study.Looking forward to ordering more from this exciting and insightful series in the future.
Wright's presentation of John's gospel and the questions he asks really make you think about concepts and the meaning of individual words. Don't rush through this!
In-depth yet readable guide to John.I gained an understanding of Jesus and his purpose in a greater way then any other book I've read previously. I highly recommend this book if you are struggling to regain a connection to Good or if your spiritual tank is running dry. Very hopeful and insightful
Great guide for the Gospel of John. Makes a very deep subject simple and easy to understand. We used this for our small group and the homework was not overwhelming but it helped to facilitate great discussions.
