"I Survived the Hindenburg Disaster, 1937" grips you from the first sentence! This historical fiction take about the journey 11 year Hugo takes with his family on the giant Zeppelin is thrilling and educational! You won't be able to put it down!

My 9-year old boy is obsessed with these books! I was very happy to get it for him and it shipped quickly. I asked him how the book was and he said, "I looooooved it!". I don't think there has been even one from this series that he hasn't loved. These books cover some fairly scarey situations for little kids, but as the title states, "I Survived". I think my son likes reading about something that scares him, but knowing the character will survive and gather strength from the situation. I hope, if anything, it will help teach my son to find strength in his own life when bad things happen.

I bought this for my 11 year old son who loves historic fiction. He has blown through each of the I Survived books as they have come out and loved each one. I love that he gets excited about reading them!! It can be hard to find engaging books for boys that aren't science fiction. My only wish is that they could release more soon!!

I Survived books are a great way to teach children about historical events. Although the plot often wear thin and are not always credible, the story is often gripping. The Hindenburg Disaster story is one of the better one of the series. Lauren Tarshis has done her research and truly has made a point of getting the facts correctly stated. Children will be pleased to read the latest installment in this series and will patiently wait for the next book.

My son enjoys the " I Survived " series of books. I have not read this particular one, so I can't comment on it specifically, but I do enjoy the fact that these books get my son interested in history. He reads them over and over. He is 9 years old and has ranked this one the best. From his words " it's intense and my most favorite book "

Very informational at a good reading level. Our grandson got hooked on these I Survived series and has really enjoyed the way they are written. He is older than the usual reading age level of 11, but is always telling us about the things he has learned by reading each book. I highly recommend this series.

My 9 year old son LOVES the "I survived" series and he insisted that I order this book in addition to the 10 others I just bought. He read this then asked to watch a Hindenburg disaster documentary...love anything that peaks a kid's interest

My daughter has read all of these books. When this came out I knew that she would be very excited about this as well. That being said when it arrived she took it and within a very short amount of time she was done. This is a well written book that really brings history to life for the reader. One of he things that I liked about this and all of the book in this series is how they turn these disasters into a story within a larger story and bring young kids into the story too. If you have never seen these stories before, check them out, you will not be disappointed!*I received this for review - all opinions are my own*
