I got this book because a) I am a huge fan of Shag's work and b) I have a 3 month old son that I enjoy reading snarky children's books to (i.e. the Baby Be Of Use series).This book certainly won't be read to him past any stage of comprehension... the content is definitely not for children, but for now we enjoy looking at the fantastic artwork, and dad gets a chuckle out of the writing.A great addition to any Shag fan's collection.
While this book is really cute and I love SHAG illustrations, it's a pretty small book. I guess I should have checked the page count. Not complaining, was pretty inexpensive. A nice coffee table book but will look for one with more illustrations (pages) next time.
I bought the book to find out more about Shag and it didnt disappoint me. The book is stylish and the drawings are charming and well done. If you like retro, vector style you will like this book. Also the format (square) and the good quality of the sheets is appealing.
This was a Christmas gift for my sister, who collects SHAG artwork. She loved it! We sat and read through the book several times. He is such an amazing artist.
