As a clergyman in the Diocese of Brooklyn, this ritual book has been invaluable to me when administering the Sacrament of Baptism in either English or Spanish. The book is nicely laid out for easy use during the Rite. This is a great improvement over the Spanish-language edition which was cumbersome and difficult to read. This edition also includes one ribbon marker. Because this ritual has yet to be published using the new and (in my opinion) vastly superior translation in English, I found it useful to paperclip-in on the English side certain parts that were updated, such as the Blessing of the Baptismal Water.
I need this to help with bilingual baptisms and this book has provided a very friendly language that can be understood by any spanish speaker or english speaker. This is a great addition to the library.
The binding and printing is first rate. It's easy to read when leading the liturgy, and it'll definitely stand up to the occasional wetness it'll receive when I perform a baptism. The Spanish on the left page and English on the right page was definitely helpful during the bilingual baptism I celebrated last weekend, as I could switch between the two languages effortlessly at the appropriate places. The only minus I encountered is the sometimes problematic places at which they break pages; sometimes the heading for the next section will be on one page, and the actual blessing or prayer will be on the next page, which isn't visible yet. There are also a few places where the widows and orphans can cause difficulty with the flow.
Just what i wanted. I will be doing a lot of baptisms when I get to Mexico and this Rite weill be of great value to me. The right side of the page is in english. Thanks.
Large size, well bounded, and nicely laid out, this book is preferable to the English only version. Good resource for any deacon or priest.
Would recommend this book for anyone. I also have the English version but find this one somewhat easier to use.
