Achoo! Cough! F-L-U-S-H! What to do? In childcare, in preschool, at home, and everywhere, toddlers need to learn that germs are not for sharing. Rather than focus on what germs are, this book teaches the basics of not spreading them: Cover up a sneeze or cough. Hug or blow kisses when you’re sick. And most of all, wash your hands! Child-friendly words and full-color illustrations help little ones stay clean and healthy. Includes tips and ideas for parents and caregivers.

Simple and to the point. Great book for the very young child on what to do when you sneeze, blow your nose, etc. It isn't a book about "just washing hands", it covers more than washing hands and opens up the opportunity to discuss when and where we find germs. Wonderful illustrations - bright and colorful.

I bought this book for my 2 1/2 year old and it quickly became his favorite book. Now when it's time to wash his hands he tells me! He is always telling me "Germs are not for sharing." He also asks me for a tissue when he needs one and has stopped eating food that has hit the floor.I think the charm of this book is the fact that it uses words like Achoo, Cough, Gurgle, Flush -- that I can say in a way that really gets his attention.2 Thumbs up!

This is a cute little book that was fun for my classroom. The kids enjoyed the heavy duty board book, the images are quality images, and the text is simple and easy for small children (ages 3-5) to understand. I will be using this book for a long while in my classroom.

This book is great. Even though it is hard for toddlers to understand germs because they don't see them, just the fact that they see images of kids washing hands and get to repeat "germs are not for sharing" gives them a mantra that creates a healthy routine. My daughter started washing hands better after having this book. Toddlers like to learn and apply rules, even when they seem reluctant at first. Little by little, I started explaining that people get sick due to germs. On one occasion, she didn't want to wash her hands and I reminded her that if she got sick, the other kids at school could get sick too, and mommy as well. So she went straight back to the sink and washed them. She proudly shows me her clean hands and asks me to "smell check" them. It is adorable. I can always say "germs are not for sharing" and she knows what I mean now.

My daughter loves this book. After reading this to her a few times, she wanted me to wash her hands when they were dirty right away.

This series of books has been great for my 2 year old; they capture his attention - which is hard to do. They are well written (easy to add-lib personal things you want to touch on), very colorful, good length.

This book doesnt include facts such as the invisibility of germs ( which is difficult for children to understand)nor how some bacteria are good . But for a 3 yr old the suggestions for hygiene are most needed.

ALL of these books are great. They aren't too wordy and the illustrations keep my toddlers interest. They also help the parents with ways to talk to your toddler about each topic, such as "hands are not for hitting" and sharing words. This is my sons favorite.
