I recommend this book to every educator and parent who is truly wanting to inspire the love of the Prophet (SAW) in their young Muslims heart and to teach the children through young role models that we don't find physically in our lives. Faatimah and Ahmed are definitely those two role models that I know my daughter will love to imitate and will be motivated to increase her love for the Prophet (SAW) through Faatimah and Ahmed's actions.Review by my daughter: "“Mama this is my favorite book because I love it!"
My kids love this book. The characters are fun and adorable. It certainly got my children to ask more questions about the Prophet SAW and was a great starting point to get them interested in his life. I highly recommend this book to all Muslim parents.
I ordered a set of books for my 4 year old on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr. I just received the package today and looked through the books. They are amazing! This one makes the characters very relatable to the kids reading the book. I am so excited for my son to start reading this and share it with his 13 month old sister too!
This book is a favourite in our home. It is well written, easy for the kids to follow and the illustrations are bright and colourful.I love this book for many reasons but mostly because it introduces the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) into their little minds in a simplistic way.Razeena is an author I hope to hear more from.
Remember the last time you were wandering through a book store admiring all the colorful and beautiful children's books? Deep down you were a little sad that there wasn't a book that could really highlight being a Muslim in a western country. Feeling sad that the characters in a book wouldn't be ones that promoted the awesomeness of being Muslim while still appealing to being a kid outside the Muslim world?This book is a game changer. All of the sudden Faatimah and Ahmed have taken being a Muslim to the front and center of an amazing and colorful book. One that any kid would be attracted to and one that a muslim kid can gain confidence and pride of their religion from. This book even has a glossary of terms if you wanted to share it with some of your non Muslim friends or family!I can't say enough good things about this book because it truly fills a gap that desperately needed to be filled by allowing our kids to see people like them in a fun story!You will love to read this story again and again and your kids will love to listen!
My 4 year old proclaimed this book as her favorite book after 1 reading :). She enjoyed the relatable characters and enjoyed the facts about Prophet Muhammad. The nice thing about this story is the kid-friendliness of it all and that there are just a few facts, making it easier for young children to latch on to a few facts rather than being overloaded by info. The illustrations were colorful and fun and enticed my 2 year old as well. Beautiful story and looking forward to more! My 4 year old also loves the sentence, "We're little Muslims!"
My son is 2 years old so obviously he can't read it as yet but he can't have enough of "faatah and amed" :D. The illustrations are captivating and bright. I like reading it to him as much he loves being read the book. The story is just the right length for the little ones and the best thing about it is the narrative isn't continuous. The author stops here and there to tell some facts which makes it all the more interesting. I can't thank you theauthor enough for doing such an amazing job for our little muslims:)
A wonderfully written and illustrated book which teaches about Prophet Mohammad in a fun and simple way.The story is interesting and the characters are such that kids can easily relate to. My two year old daughter loved this book and now wants a camel :)
