I gave this to a friend who knew nothing about Judaism and he said it was very helpful and informative. I looked it over and it looked like just the ticket to explain Judaism to a non-Jew. It had the right balance of information (What are those black straps with boxes? what's the deal with the strings hanging down under your shirt? is Chanukah just Jewish xmas? etc) without being over detailed. A non-Jew does not want in depth analysis but just an overview and this provides it. It is good for kids but also good for adults who are just wanting a simple explanation about things they have seen but have no experience with.Highly recommended!

Easy to read and understand. I enjoyed this book and the history it teaches us. I encourage others to get this book, especially if they want to learn more about JUDAISM.

As always with DK books, excellent detail but not to much, great pictures, flows nicely- works well for its intended purpose.

Love ALL the DK Eyewitness Books!
