This Spiritual Growth, Personal Growth, Pentecostal & Charismatic paperback is 218 pages and published by Destiny Image.Using childhood experiences and those from adult life, author Jack Front shows readers the difference in having an orphan heart and one of a child of God or as he calls it a heart of sonship. Frost was a fishing boat captain and then a pastor. He uses examples and stories to stress his point and make it easier to understand. His coauthor and wife, Trisha, is upfront about her struggles in an effort to help others.The Frosts point out in their eleven chapter book that we cannot be ruled by fear. In the first chapter (No Fear!) they pose the question "what would your life be like if you have no fear?" They ask "do you rise up every morning feeling like a son or daughter secure and confident in your Father's love, and living to give that love to others?" They tell readers we need to live life experiencing God's love and to trust in Him. We need to put fear aside. Chapter seven (Orphan or Son) was probably my favorite. It talked about men and women referred to in the Bible. There are many times scripture refers to sons but not daughters. That doesn't mean woman are not loved or important. In Eternity we will all be called The Bride of Christ, men and women. The Frosts also talk about the difference there is in having an Orphan Heart and a Sonship Heart. Take the image of God for instance. Do you see Him as a Master to appease (Orphan Heart) or loving Father who loves unconditionally (Sonship Heart). Nineteen other topics are discussed and compared.
