Short and sweet, this Regency novella satisfies the desire for a quick bit of escapism. Nothing Gothic, and the closest thing to a villain is a "mean girl." Good grammar, spelling, etc. The only criticisms I can offer are the use of the honorific "Ms." (a creation of the 1970's), a rather immature H, and a fairly simplistic plot.
Eleanor Moore travels to London to be a companion to Dorothy Anders, a lively old woman who enjoys the social scene. There she meets Dorothy's nephew Christian Buckley who is unhappily involved with Anna Wickham.
