I hate to see this series end, it's been so pleasurable to step back in the historical time of gold/silver mining in Colorado and finally on to Sonoma, CA with Carina's passionate Italian family living on their vineyard. kristen Heitzmann is a talented author, whose stories come in many layers that peak the readers interest all the way through. There are many new characters, challenges, action, suspense & resolutions that prevent knowing the ending in advance. The author 's descriptions are so vivid I could imagine being in these places during this period of time. She wrapped up the romance between Carina and Quillan in a such a captivating way, one that brought the element of family and God into unity. An excellent story, well written with well developed characters and it's also very clean and very romantic.

Wow. What a quality book. Totally worth the cost. She has the story, and then the layers of sub-stories. Events and people from the past become part of, or tied to, the present. This book is beautifully woven. So many "real" characters and events blend into a tapestry that gets sewn into your heart. I'm commenting about the complete trilogy, not just this book. The research and details worked to thoroughly entertain me. I love how you are inside the different characters' minds, understanding how their past experiences relate to their current actions. Motives are thoroughly explored. I love how you can see their hearts slowly change and get healed as they align their thinking with the truth. Best of all her books will inspire the reader to talk to God as her characters do, to understand compassion and forgiveness and give it, and to trust that all things can work together for good. I'm excited for the day the author hears the words "Well done, good and faithful servant!"PS- get the Kindle edition because you'll probably want the convenience of looking up occasional archaic and uncommon words.

Book 3 did not disappoint! I was hooked after book 2 but hoped I wouldn't get tired or bored by book 3....no way! The action was in there. The romance...in there. The comedy? Yes, that was in there too. I love that these characters are real and that their responses are what we could identify with. This answered many of the questions that were started in Book 1. Worth the read.

Loved these stories and hated for it to end. I should mention the spiritual impact as well that this saga has had on me, I'm very thankful for that! It is good to remember that the Lord has definite purposes in allowing our suffering, so often I forget that He longs to bring good from the ashes. God bless!

Carina and Quillan have finally found each other. It is sad to go away from the Colorado Rockies. The writer gives a great sense of life during this time. It is sad to leave all the characters that we have come to love as Carina did also. However, circumstances make it the best decision to go back home to Carina's home. I have to give Quillan much kudos for his actions and behavior to his hostile in laws and their extended family. Carina is torn between her family and her love for Quillan. She searches her heart and seeks Signore's heart in this troubling times.A great ending to this trilogy and kept me glued to the book until the ending.

Kristen Heitzmann writes so beautifully. I just loved this series, and I had trouble functioning and breathing normally until I'd finished. Her books grab you and never let go. And I loved every second of it. The third book is pretty different from the earlier two, since the rest of the cast and the setting changes, but she handles this so well, and I was excited to start off on a new adventure with Carina and Quillan. Quinlan, even though he's already been saved, has quite the growth arc here and I loved seeing him change over the course of the story.

Book three brings closure to the story of incredible grit, tender love, and familial bonds. The character development is exquisite and the transformaton from independance to interdependance is realistic and beautiful. A true page turner.

This last book in the series brings a wonderful tale to an end and leaves me hoping for more words of this wonderful family. All three books were awesome, and It was bittersweet to finish reading the adventures of these two brave people. Thank you Kristen for sharing your beautiful talent to not only spin a wonderful story, but to intwine the blessed words of the Lord into the lives of these people, to help me reflect on my own walk with the Lord, and to see how all of us struggle to walk with the light. I will look for more of your writing.
