I read this book, as I have all the others in the series, before giving it to my nephews.Loved it , they loved it. Their friends did too. Have no ides what book the two star reviewer read, butmy take on it was that it was funny. Really funny. Funny the way I hear kids being funny. Written in the way the the boys think. And so relevant to the news. Snarky, well yes,but so are most of kids I know and this book fits right into their style. And there is nothing mean about the book. I especially like that a girl, Claudia,is so important. Good for girls to read, perhaps even better for boys to read.Hope there are more in the series.
My 12-year-old and I were both so thrilled when this book came out and we got to hang out with the Tapper Twins again! This book is just as funny as the first two in this series (which is saying a lot!), and has been a joy to read together. Plus, it is oddly educational -- the explanations of the political landscape are great, and the dynamics of the race, while obviously exaggerated for comic effect, are actually pretty close in some ways to how things go down in real political races.
The first Tapper Twins book was hysterical and made my 13-year-old grandson laugh out loud. Since then, the style of humor has become very snarky and is no longer humorous. The change in style is very unfortunate. We will not be buying any more of this series.
My 8 year old daughter and 10 year old son both absolutely loved this book! Please write more, it was fantastic and they are asking me when the next one is coming out!
This book is amazing!! I have read every book in the series. I highly recommend it.
