I bought this book for my 2 1/2 year old, who loves it, even though a lot of the details go over his head. There are a wide variety of short Bible stories, and each has an activity sheet to color. Many sheets have additional activities (such as cutting and taping/pasting) so that the child can play with the paper. (Examples: The story of God leading the Israelites shows a piller of fire at night which can be folded over to depict a cloud during the daytime. In the story of Ruth and Naomi, a paper fastener can be used so that Ruth can bend down to pick up the barley from the fields. The characters Jacob and Esau can be made into hand puppets with just a little tape.) At this point, my son is mostly interested in the craft activity, but over the next few years, I think he'll continue to enjoy this book.What I really like is that the entire book is also included on the accompanying CD ROM. This means that instead of having to cut up the book, I can just print out the activities we want, so we will be able to use this book over and over again for years to come. The publisher also grants permission for the original owner of the book to make copies for a class, so it would be perfect for use in a Sunday School class.The stories are written in English and Spanish.For teachers or older kids who want to go beyond the story on the page, the scripture passages are included.
