I bought this book as a Christmas gift for my husband while I was pregnant with our twin baby boys. He used to read it to my belly and now he reads it to them in person before bedtime. It is a really great book for complimenting dads on how they contribute to the family. I believe it also helps dads feel special and aids in the daddy/baby bonding process. My twins are now 7 months and we read to them every night. This isn't their favorite book and some of the wording is a little long for their current age range, so I find myself speed reading so that they don't lose interest. When they get a little older, I think they will enjoy it more. The pictures are appealing and the words carry a deeper meaning than some other baby books. I would highly recommend this if you are looking for a gift to make dad feel special!
This book came in really fast and is compelety adorable. The book is padded so I don't have to worry about my neice hitting the corner on her head and hurting herself, highly reccomend great story for little kids, also there is another one that is titled "Thank You God for Mommy." Which is also terrific for children.
I searched and searched for a book that implemented God and my husband. This book is PERFECT for explaining what a Daddy does and how we should be thankful for being blessed with him. My husband does not believe in God but he still sits and reads this book to my daughter and I can tell that he enjoys it. My daughter squeals when she sees one of us pull this book of the shelf to read.
Daddies do so much for us! It's time to thank God for the blessing they are.In this adorable board book, a little lion cub thanks God for his wonderful daddy--a daddy who gives big hugs and piggy back rides, who takes great care of him, and most importantly, who offers love, guidance, and encouragement. What a cute little book! My 3 year old daughter and I read this book over and over. She loves the illustrations and the easy to read format. Simple enough for infant through preschooler to understand and enjoy. Wonderful , colorful illustrations on each and every page. I love that the author wrote such an adorable book about Daddies! I highly recommend this book and it's counterpart: Thank You God, for Mommy. They make excellent gifts for the little ones in your life, or for baby gifts!
I love this book. It is beautifully written and the pictures are amazing. Dads do so much for their kids even as adults. Once you start reading it, you can't put it down. It's heartfelt. I highly recommend this book to children as well as adults.
Purchased for a 3 year old grandchild. Gramma enjoyed the book very much and hope the parents and children will too. I'm certain they will. Mother and Dad both read to the children and I appreciate that the author, Amy Parker, did a separate book for Daddy and Mommy. The book is a hard board book for little ones to look at without risk of tearing pages. The cover is nicely padded and for the price, the book is a big winner with Gramma's pocketbook. I hope it will be a favorite with my grandchildren. The book rhymes and I always liked this type of book as a kid and as a parent and grandparent I still like to read a child any story that is well written with rhyme involved. I also purchased the "Thank You, God, for Mommy" book at the same time.
Wonderful sweet book. Our grandson is almost 9 months old and a little young as he will tear the pages. But he will grow into it and look forward to reading this book to him. Ordered Thank You God for Mommy and same applies for that book. I saw a post that said no app can replace your lap -- read to your kids. Inspiring and great pictures and writing.
Bought this for my husband for Father's Day in anticipation of our upcoming due date. This book is very sweet, and good for a Christian household. In my opinion, it does a good job of promoting the importance of Daddy and the things Daddy does without perpetuating antiquated gender stereotypes.
