Know And Follow Rules
Ebooks Online

A child who can’t follow rules is a child who’s always in trouble. This book starts with simple reasons why we have rules: to help us stay safe, learn, be fair, and get along. Then it presents just four basic rules: “Listen,” “Best Work,” “Hands and Body to Myself,” and “Please and Thank You.” The focus throughout is on the positive sense of pride that comes with learning to follow rules. Includes questions and activities adults can use to reinforce the ideas and skills being taught.

I love this book! I'm an Elementary School Counselor and I use it for Classroom Guidance. It's also been fantastic with my toddler! The pictures are so bright and engaging. When we have one of those naughty moments, when all is calm again we read the book. He really enjoys it. The message is simple enough for him but also hits home with early elementary kids. I highly recommend this book as well as the whole series--"Learning to Get Along".

I bought every title in this series (13 so far). And while they may seem a little expensive I truly believe they are worth it becuase of the positive social lessons they teach. The books are simply worded and straightforward. Because of this, they would also be very good for children with special needs. They are uncluttered, the print is large and they are ever so cutely illustrated. I'm sure you will love them and I know your child will learn something from them.

I have gotten a handful of these books for my little guy when the challenging behavior of a typical toddler started to rear it's ugly head. It has help each and every time to address things that seemed to be repeated over and over despite our gentle, but serious conversations about behavior and following the rules, hands are not for hitting, germs are not for sharing, etc. My son is almost 4, and he enjoys being read to, so this works for us.

I have a 5 year old in kindergarten and I think it is important for kids to know and follow rules to be safe . We live in an uncertain world . If kids know what is expected of them at home and in school .This book helps kids understand what you are trying to teach them on their level. My child also loves to read and this book was other opportunity to teach her how following the rules will effect her life in the future. Teaching them early on their level they will always remember .she now practice following the rules more at home and at school. So I love this book she can always pick it up gain and again.

I have purchased a few of the titles in this series and love them all so far. My boys are truly learning from them and they ask questions as we read along. Very nice illustrations. My favorite part is the back of the book though. There is a resource for parents in the back with ideas for creating fun games to continue "teaching" the skills spoken about in the book in a fun way so kids don't feel like they're being tested. I have really enjoyed the time spent with my boys reading and learning from these books.

it has great pictures and is short but to the point that for things to work out well there needs to be rules.

We bought a few of the books in this series to help our son make a better choice when he is in school, after he struggled with the structured routine of the pre-k classroom. Every now and then we will read a few of the books in the series and he always tells me something that his teacher tells him or one of his peers in his class to do instead of making a poor choice behavior wise.I would recommend any of the books in this series to read to your children and it gives you a positive way to help teach any child how to make good choices based on any situation. The favorite one to read to our boys at this time is the one about sharing and taking turns, with 3 little ones in the house all under the age of 6 it can get a bit difficult for them to share their toys in a friendly manner. There are books that are age appropriate for toddlers and for elementary age kids to learn from these books, but we just bought the books for the older kids when our son was 3 years ago. Some of the content was a bit too mature for him, so we just improvised and shared the most important parts of each page of the books until he was old enough to comprehend the actual story that is written in each of the books that we own from this series. Even using the pictures in the books can lead to many conversations about how to make good choices when you are at either at school or at home. These books are great tools to help a parent promote language development, while teaching our young ones about making good choices wherever they may be every single day.

This book should have never been sold. It's basically unusable. I will have to tape it together and it hope it lasts one year as a teacher resource. it was inexpensive but there should be a limit to how torn up a book can be as sellable. This should have been recycled.
