I'm turning 20 tomorrow and this book has helped me a lot on guys, dating, parents, friends, and my own personal, typical teen probs. I highly rec'd this book to any MOM, Dad, anyone with a son or daughter. I felt like sometimes I don't know everything about the real world, so I used this book. MOM doesn't tell me everything. But the Lord has help me dealt with the personal probs of making my life easier to overcoming obstacles.
Preachy and outdated. I got The bare facts. Also by Josh Mc Dowell also. That is probably a more modern version of this. I only gave my teenage daughter that one bc I can tell she would not like, nor read this one. So if you are looking for sexual education with a christian perspective go for a more current book.
This book is now greatly "outdated" in terms of cultural references, "pop culture," etc., yet the main principles (based on sound Biblical ones) still apply. I bought this for one of my nieces (in high school in 2016), and I know she'll find some of it to be true wisdom and a great help to her when faced with tough choices or issues. I wrote a personal "caveat" in the front cover to my niece, asking her to please overlook the now dated cultural references, and instead try to look for the "real treasures" of Wisdom within!
This book was incredibly good. I picked it up a long time ago, and it has stuck with me since then. The sin scale really hit me hard. Wonderful book. I am straight and married with 3 kids now. We waited until marriage to engage in anything past a kiss on the cheek because of this book. I really love it. Thank you so much. You have saved my life and kept me off drugs. Amen.
It was as advertised, contained 100's of questions teens ask and reasonable answers.
I bought this book as a gift for my 13 year old grandson'sbirthday. I read some of it, and it's well-written inan easy-to-understand way. I didn't see anything I wouldobject to him reading. I recommend it. EL in NC
