I feel I was really taken on this purchase. There are only 30 pages on taking the ACE exam and the rest of the book is about job searching after passing the exam. The Job searching info in the second half of the book is pretty much standard info you can find anywhere. I just feel the $30.00 was way to much for the content and It is a cheaply printed book on top of it all. There could have been much more in this book for the price. The tips on taking the ACE exam were good but I feel the author should just put this out as a low priced Kindle or e-book. There is just not enough there for a book priced as high as this. I was expecting much more on the ACE exam. I read the 4 star review and went for it. Buyer beware!
I work in the visual editing business since the beginning of the year (2013) and I decided to get certified in order to enhance my chances in finding a job and let other people know my projects; but the first time my ACE exam has been a real disaster! I wasn't really prepared, I just read the manual without having clear in mind my goals for the exam! Thanks to Mark Kelly and his book I can now plan a better path to get prepared for the exam and that is helping me really much!
