How Night Came From The Sea: A Story From Brazil
Ebooks Online

A Brazilian story with African roots, this book tells how an ancient African sea goddess brought the gift of night to the land of daylight. This story evokes the beauty, rather than the terror, of the night, and is also about finding peace and hope in a new land.

I bought this book to read with my grandson. This storywas being read in school in his Reading class. Readingthe book at home helped his comprehension so well, hisgrades went from "C" to "A" in 4th grade. Not just thisbook. I purchased all books being read this year in his 4th classto help my grandson with comprehension and content.I have a 3rd grader, next year he will be in 4th grade, therefore,he will read the same books - making this a very wise purchase.I will then sell the books back to . Unfortunately, I do not know what books they will be reading in 5th grade. When I find out I willcontinue with purchasing the books to be read at home.I also loved the stories. All the books had a specificmeaning, further adding to my literary education.
