My 4 year old loves mazes and they are a great way to engage her in learning how to control her use of a pencil. These mazes are worth the buck, for sure. They vary in difficulty and yet allow for a small child to finish independently.
When I saw that the age recommendation was for 4-6 year olds I figured it would be challenging for my 3 year old. He loves to do mazes and likes the "tricky" ones. These ones just weren't tricky enough for him. He was excited when I first showed him the book, but he lost interest when he realized how easy they were. I think this book would be prefect for children who are just starting to do mazes.
Nice maze book for the preK set. It says preK through 1st grade, I think it would be way to easy for a first grader. My 3.5 year old enjoyed the mazes while on an airplane. They were a bit too easy for him, but he has been doing maze books listed for 6 year olds.
My son really enjoys these although they are more expensive then you can find at a discount store. The problem is, they are hard to find at a discount store all the time. So if you are desperate, I recommend paying the extra for your child's enjoyment
I got my daughter this maze book when she just turned 4. It was a bit over her head but she did them all anyway and had fun. I will get more as she gets older. A lot of fun and a change of pace from regular everyday home activities.
My 4 year old loves this book. It is challenging for him, but he still can manage to finish most of the mazes himself, so I am really happy with this purchage. However, if you have a smart 5 year old, I think this book might be a little bit easy for him.
My grandaughter and I love these books. She is five. I have taught her to find the passage with her finger before she uses the pencil and now she is a pro and she loves doing this and I love watching her.
I find that workbooks that range from preschool to 1st grade have sucha wide range that they aren't as well put together. But my preschooler loves mazes and she highly enjoys this book!
