I'd been searching for a new Amish book on and was so thrilled to see this collection! I really am loving this boxed-set! It gave me a chance to enjoy a book from an author I knew as well as be introduced to some new authors I hadn't read yet. I started with Ruth Price's story because I'm familiar with her work. It was sweet and I LOVED the letters back and forth between the main character and her best friend. The story was also lovely. It's hard enough moving into a new community as an adult, but as a teenager, especially an Amish teenager, it seems even more difficult. (also, I've started on her 5-book starter library which I found a link to in this book - phenomenal!)I also really, REALLY enjoyed Anna Fisher's new book! It's not as common to see an Amish book from the boy's point of view, and I thought that the story here of Adam coping with his anger (and trust issues) after the death of his father was really powerful and compelling. Also, the romance was sweet! Definitely will be reading more of Ms. Fisher's work. And still two more to go! So excited! Great Read!
I just finished The Bishop`s Son. A solid story from Anna Fisher with an unexpected ending. I`m looking forward to reading Ruth Price and the other two authors. For $2.99, this has already been a good value. 5 stars for the opportunity to read four different authors in one collection. I love when authors get together and do stuff like this!
Wonderful set of books! Each story was unique, heartwarming, and romantic. I hadn’t read any of these before, and I’m so glad I picked up this collection. It's hard to pick which one I liked the best. Maybe the Summer to Remember (Luke's adventures and self-revelations after being, in his own mind dumped on an Amish farm, were really great to read), but it could just be oncoming nostalgia for summer itself. All of the books were excellent. My only complaint, couldn’t put it down until I finished it!
