This is my first journaling Bible and I am in love. It's pretty basic but it gets the job done and I love that it's NIV (most hardcover journaling Bibles are ESV.)I use a variety of mediums on the pages, gesso, water color paint, acrylic paint, chalk pastels, pens, etc. and they hold up great!
This bible is awesome. I was not sure what to expect, as I wanted to use this for bible journaling. The pages are thicker than a typical bible page. I do think with watercoloring the pages will hold up well.
Got this to do artistic bible journaling. The pages have a yellow tint but hold up very well to gesso, water colors, acrylic and inks. The size is great and the lines in the margins are faint.
Best Bible I ever bought! It has big enough font to read and just enough room for short notes and even a doodle or two if I want. It isn't too thick which I was concerned about, being a single column and all. It is perfect! Price doesn't hurt either! I would highly recommend this Bible to all NIV lovers!

This bible is simple, yet so beautiful. With some gesso, whatever medium i use doesn't bleed through the page. It's perfect!! I love that it's so plain, because that way you can make the pages your own.
Positively perfect for Bible readers who want to note, and talk about their reading. The book is solid and not heavy. It lays flat when open. there is room for keep journal entries and discussion notes in the margins. The pages are thin but not so thin that they feel brittle. The translation is NIV which is my preferred. I am enjoying it overall
This bible doesn't have the "extras" (maps, cross references, etc), but it has nice wide margins for journaling, and it lays flat, which is what I was looking for. I only wish the margins were not lined. The font is also quite small, though it would be hard to have larger text with the wide margins. Would buy again, definitely.
