I've had this for probably 2 weeks now and have only managed to get through about half of it so far so take this for what it's worth...Almost right away, I was a bit saddened by reading this. I could tell immediately that it was written with (at least nearly) as much love and connection to these characters as Joss himself. It was also apparent that this story would be perfect for the big screen as a sequel to Serenity. And so it was with mixed feelings that I continued to read since I knew this story and any others would never be seen on the big screen (or small screen for that matter). I've also found myself reading only a couple pages at a time and putting the book down. Not because it's tough to get into but because reading this I can hear the voices of my favorite fictional characters and I'm taken back to that wonderful time when the crew of Serenity still had life.I'm anxious to get through this and see how the story unfolds but a part of me is hesitant to do so too quickly for fear of losing them once again. So I'm savoring it; making it last as long as I can. Yes, I'm probably nuts but I know there are at least a few of you who knwo exactly what I'm talking about. And for those of you who can understand this rationale and even relate to it but haven't purchased this, please do yourself the favor and do so now. You won't regret it.Thank you to Zach Whedon and company for breathing life back into some of my favorite people in the verse one more time. Even if it is just briefly.

This was a perfect post-Serenity graphic novel. I couldn't ask for more from this book and am hoping that there will be more to come. I love this universe and am glad that it is kept alive in such a creative way. It tied up story lines that as a fan of Firefly and Serenity I always wanted to see, introduced some surprises, and left me very content overall.

(Spolier free) This is amazing. I am biased. There I said it. Just got home found this in a package and opened it and read it nonstop front to back immediately. Perfect. The story is great, moves at a perfect clip and references and reminds and is wonderful. Some parts are bittersweet; if you are a browncoat you'll know what I mean, other parts are action packed and hilarious. Other parts will fulfill the shipper in all of us. Sorry for being obscure, don't wanna ruin it for you. Its a completely perfect addition to the Firefly/Serenity story. The art work is beautiful and the dialogue makes me feel like the show is still playing. Crossing my fingers for more like this in the future. Nothing can stop the signal.

I loved the stories and the dialogue felt just like the show! The chapter art was outstanding, but the rest of the artwork was terrible! The artist COULD NOT draw their faces even remotely well, so half of the time I was trying to figure out who was speaking and who was being shown. Several times I had to flip a page or two back to get a clue of who I was looking at in the story. Again, the chapter art (the single art page at the front of each chapter) was outstanding!! It's the artwork on the rest of the book (90% of the pages in the book) that truly sucked.

Since we aren't likely to get anymore Firefly movies this follow up to Serenity takes up after the movie ends with the crew dealing with loss and notoriety. Honestly I could read these stories forever and never get bored. I just hope that there are more on the way.

The story line was quite good. However, the artwork was disappointing, particularly the characters, none of whom looked right. At times I didn't know whether I was looking at Kaylee or Inara! It took me several pages to figure out who the surprise character was; the resemblance to the original character was superficial at best. The writer kept reusing expressions that each character had used in the TV series, leading to a stilted, predictable dialogue. I'll probably read it again (might as well, since I bought it), but I'd hesitate to buy another graphic novel from the same writer-artist team.

I really love how this officially continues the series after the film serenity. We still don't get enough closure unfortunately. It is like we need between 2 to 4 more volumes before that happens, but I am definitely a little bit more satisfied. This is the best of all the 4 volumes that have been released and you shouldn't skip this at all. Great price (hardcover new with seal for 13$) for all 6 issues of Leaves on the Wind and it comes with its' never easy. Before you read this, you must first watch the firefly tv series and the film serenity. If you don't do this then you will be lost. You can actually skip the other 3 volumes and not be lost at all. My only complaint is that the artwork is really bad and doesn't look like the characters from the film or tv. Don't let the cover art fool you.

I have never been a huge comic book guy, but I am a huge Firefly fan. This was a new experience for me and one I thoroughly enjoyed. Book wuality is great. The pages are thick and I'm not worried about tearing them or smearing the ink. The art is beautiful, the story is darker than the series but more in line with the movie, and bringing the characters back was a joy.Recommend this 100% for any avid Forefly fans who want to keep flying! Also, the cover is glossy. Shiny!
