Ebooks Online

Best-selling author Warren Wiersbe unwraps the book of Nehemiah in his study Be Determined to show a servant so selfless, a mission so humbling, and a perseverance so admirable that Christians are drawn to a new awe of God.  As the leader God calls to mobilize and equip His people to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, Nehemiah was a man who didn't know the word no when it came to God's economy.God strategically summons the man of Jewish descent from his comfortable high position as Artexerxes' cupbearer at the palace in Persia to the difficult role as leader of the Jewish remnant.  To this remnant of his own people, Nehemiah is called to empathize and share God's plan for their physical, emotional, and spiritual reconstruction.  If open to it, readers will hear the Holy Spirit's direction in their own lives, and will surrender themselves to the God who equips them to do all things through His infinite strength.

Nehemiah can be a difficult book of the Bible understand. Warren Wiersbe helps clear up any confusion. His "Be" commentaries on each book in the Bible are an excellent tool for deeper study. The format is easy to follow and the language is easy to understand. If you're into seriously studying the Bible, especially if you're new at it, any in this series will be helpful.

Wo could no love his books. I love he instruction, which is inviting and universal in nature, the question format after the teaching insures comprehension and application. I would recommend this to anybody. He is one of my favorite authors

Dr. Wiersbe's works are by nature quite homiletical and supportive for both preacher and teacher. It would not be the sole source for sermon preparation, but will complement the more technical works which have presented more exegetical foundation. Chuck Dowell

"Be Determined" is so fascinating it reads like a novel. The determination of Nehemiah to complete building the walls of Jerusalem is clearly one of obedience, fortitude and trust. Nehemiah is an lesser know Old Testament hero but one that stands tall with Moses, David and Joshua. This book will encourage you greatly, It did me.Although Nehemiah was a layman he was blessed with vision, courage and faith to keep on going no matter the obstacle before him. "Be Determined" is a leadership guidebook. It will encourage you to serve the Lord more and pray constantly.

We are using this book in a morning Bible study. I always enjoy Warren W. Wiersbe's insight and prospective. Makes you want to sit down and read it all at once.

The book wasn't quite what I was looking for. In the course I was taking, historical background and interpretation in the light of when Timothy II was written would have helped most. That being said, however, the author's take on the letter's relevance in today's world was quite interesting, and segued nicely with our course content.

As always Mr. Wiersbe deliverers sound teaching of God's Word that makes for interesting reading and is very understandable. Anyone from the new believer to the mature believer can benefit from this commentary of Nehemiah.
