Everyone in the family loves the book. Summer release is Perfect timing as kids are off school. A good alternative to board games when we are looking for one.
Very nice quality book. I don't normally buy hard covers unless I am SURE its a classic and can be read/looked at over and over by family and guests (like Shel Silverstein or "Good Night Moon"). This book has vibrant illustrations and pics and seems like it can survive some abuse. When i took it out of the box it felt like it weighed a ton. The paper is its printed on is quality. I'm pretty sure the 11yo is gonna love it (that's the age, right? everything is interesting and they have nonstop questions). I would have got volume 1 first but it was sold out. If this goes over well I will, hopefully, get the first volume for next Xmas.
This was a gift for my 11yr old granddaughter. She was delighted with the book. The pictures are definitely national geographic quality and the information was written very clear and made interesting to keep a child's interest. Very happy with this purchase.
My 10-year-old granddaughter loved the book. She even sat reading it when the rest of us went into the livingroom to watch a family video on tv. She also share some of the facts with us, and they were things I didn't know. I highly recommend it for that age group.
This book is well structured and has amazing photos. Everyone I've shown it to has enjoyed it immensely.
These books are so great. We read through a few pages at night before bedtime, and its something that my husband, 9 and 4 year olds, and myself all enjoy. So many fun and interesting facts. Its broken into categories and themes too, which makes it really nice as well. Easy to flip through and find something for everyone. We bought this before the getting the Awesome Facts 1, but that will definitely be next!
Purchased this for Christmas for my nine-year-old and it is an interesting book. It is a very big book! My only complaint is the print is very small. This is more appropriate for children at least nine years or so probably.
My family of boys loves fact books. This is a good one.Other national geographic "weird juncture" fact books have random facts throughout. These facts are ORGANISED. 25 facts about a topic, 100 facts about a topic. Very fun!
