Love this book and the preequel "American Exit Strategy". No gratuitous vulgarity and bit of faith. The economic lessons are easily understood. This lays out an all too real scenario of events to come, given the current course of this nation. The author has a great podcast also covering the books topics.
I can't say enough about this book and it's predecessor, "American Exit Strategy". The writing, character development and overall plot is superb. I have read just about every novel in this genre, but I can honestly say that Mark Goodwin is among the best at writing this type of story. I was actually heartbroken when I finished this book, not wanting it to end, knowing that I will have to wait for the next. Mark has a unique understanding of the bible, the Constitution and the founding fathers that translates so well in his novels. I wholeheartedly recommend this book!!
I may have a new favorite author. Whie not as good as his first book, this one is stil very, very good. It's not as though this one lacks in any way but the first one may have been the finest of the genre. This one is only in the top 10%.
A concise view of our future if we do not change our ways and those of our politicians. Remember that freedom is not.
This series keeps you on the edge of your seat. i was greatly entertained but also very inspired to use the information in practical ways. If you like the post collapse genre and are a true liberty lover, you Absolutely Cannot miss this book!!!!!!!!!!!
Really enjoyed this book. It continues to follow the life of various characters from the first novel and how they adapt to various events (or don't adapt in the case of some of the minor characters). The plot takes current events and then carries them through to a logical potential outcome. It even covers current events I was not aware of or had not really thought about.I also enjoyed the historical quotes at the beginning of each chapter as they kind of set the stage for events in that chapter. Makes me want to read a bit more history. I also liked the Bible quotes because they supported the plot.All in all, I really enjoyed this book (I read it in two sessions.). I look forward to seeing more novels from this author.
I almost NEVER write reviews but I really felt I had to for this book.I am a big fan of this genre but it is filled with lots of books that rank so so at best with little to no editing. Mark takes it to another level in his series however.Not only does he spin a good tale with believable sequences but subtly includes lots of useful information.If you want a good read, some good tips and some things to make you think make this the next prepper novel you read. If you want to introduce someone to the genre or the idea of prepping this is the perfect book to gift them.
The messages within the book is profound. My boys really love this book. Please read this book to your kids.
