▶ DESCRIPTIONAfter all that has been spoken and written by godly men on prayer, we need something better than that which is of mere human origin to guide us if we are to perform aright this essential duty. How ignorant and sinful creatures are to endeavor to come before the Most High God, how they are to pray acceptably to Him and to obtain from Him what they need, can be discovered only as the great Hearer of prayer is pleased to reveal His will to us. Other Books▶ AUTHORArthur W. Pink was born in Nottingham England in 1886, and born again of the Spirit of God in 1908 at the age of 22. He studied at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, USA, for only six weeks before beginning his pastoral work in Colorado. From there he pastored churches in California, Kentucky, and South Carolina, before moving to Sydney Australia for a brief period, preaching and teaching. In 1934, at 48 years old, he returned to his native England. He took permanent residence in Lewis, Scotland, in 1940, remaining there 12 years until his death at age 66 in 1952.

This is a book one can use as a guide book which I for one cannot put away as a book I finished reading. It is a book for meditating on every day. Every fresh reading throws new light (as I believe it is intended to to)!.
I've said the Lord's prayer for long time, but I really wanted know what each verse meant. From this study by Pink, I can truly understand what Lord Jesus Christ was trying to teach us. It's all the glory of our Heavenly Father, who created the earth and all living creatures are to honor the Hallow Father every day. For it was God who created the universe, earth and all living creatures that live on earth. We are his children and he loves every one of us.
Extremely enlightening, share aspect of this model prayer that you don't hear across many pulpits today. Caused me to reconsider my own viewpoint of this important teaching that now days we repeat and spout off as rhetoric without serious consideration of it's meaning, teaching, and implication. It helped me to understand and appreciate other examples of prayer and why they are so effective. For example the ACTS prayer model. I knew it was effective but never understood why it is so effective in bring a believer before the Throne of Grace. After reading this book I could see how it is steep in the guidelines of the Lords Prayer and it's format is step by step instructive in helping us even in our unawareness to enter the presence of God the Father with humility and thanksgiving.Like so many things Christ taught us 'The Lord's Prayer' is so simple and yet abundantly powerful.Read this book in conjunction with your Bible for a deeper understanding and growth in a critical area of your Christian walk and faith.
I truly glean a lot of insight through this man's work. The thing I like about reading his work, is the closeness, that I feel as I read, that he was in fellowship with God. Keeping in mind that he was human, I do research the Scriptures that he quotes. That keeps me reading his works.
Arthur Pink's on the Lord's Prayer is a classic. I have read it twice.
