An All-Round Ministry
Ebooks Online

One of Spurgeon's greatest ministries was to the hundreds of preachers who were trained in the Pastors' College he founded. In 1865 he began an annual conference for them, and during his life delivered twenty-seven Presidential Addresses. The twelve best are contained in this ebook.

I beleve this Book is an immense help for anyone who will give the blessed gospel of Christ. While Spurgeon is a Calvinist, This book is not aimed at the sreading of Calvinistic doctrine, but at providing an effective ministry. Spurgeon is thought provoking and witty, but doesn't dilly-dally, and makes no apology for the great truths of God and his word. This is a book definitely aimed at old fashioned preaching, which is essential to godliness in the pulpit. It is supported by scripture (KJV) and not popular opinion. This is definitely a book that is as relevant today as it was when it was written, and deserves to be in anyone's top ten who intends to follow the great commision of our Lord and "preach the gospel unto every living creature".

Great book by Spurgeon. If you're in ministry - or contemplating it - this book is essential. It's very similar to his Lectures to My Students book, both of which I recommend. The title is appropriate because while Spurgeon gets to the heart of the matter in all thingsby constantly preaching Christ - the ministry application is "All-Around" or comprehensive. This book is like having a very wise mentor, pastor, friend and professor all in one.Fantastic tool for anyone serious about Christian ministry.

The incomparable Spurgeon offers faithful, biblical wisdom for the minister of the gospel. The reader will note that An All-Round Ministry is very similar to Spurgeon's classic Lectures to My Students. The difference lies in this: AARM consists of some of his annual conference addresses, while LTMS is a collection of transcribed classroom sessions from his Friday afternoon Pastors College lessons. Highly recommended as an introduction to (or a refresher for) Christ-centered ministry.

Charles Spurgeon said that his most prolific and highest honor was when he had the chance to teach the young men at his Pastor's College which he founded in London at the famed Metropolitan Baptist Tabernacle. His famous LECTURES TO MY STUDENTS has been read and studied by many preachers down through the years. This smaller book on pastoral ministry is often overlooked. AN ALL-AROUND MINISTRY (proper title) is a wonderful addition to LECTURES TO MY STUDENTS. In this work Spurgeon gives practical advice to young preachers concerning the work of the ministry. His desire is to simply glorify God in all that we say or do (Colossians 3:17). Spurgeon's heart pours out from every topic from speaking to prayer. A great book not only for Bible teachers but for all disciples as well.

This book delivers exactly what it promises, "...biblical exposition, wise counsel, practical sanity and warm exhortation." And while reading full-length sermons may seem dull to some, let those skeptics go to work on this collection. Charles Spurgeon brings such a passion to the words that one doesn't merely read them, but listens to Spurgeon shout them from behind a pulpit and is brought into a comfortable family of believers (being his Pastor's College). It's a must-read for the mature Christian (especially if he is being called into the ministry).

I've read a bit of Spurgeon, and after reading this book I know I need to read more. I've read fewer more enjoyable and practical helps for the person engaged in ministry. Spurgeon is blessed with tremendous wisdom and wit, and it has been stored here for our generation to enjoy. I originally read this book for free on the internet, but found it so helpful I bought two copies - one for myself and one to give away. I recommend you do the same.

Lectures to my Students is better equipped for preparing one for ministry and is essential for all Christians. This book is a great supplement and is more from a topical sermon perspective as these were addressed to those going to Spurgeon's college. Quick shots of Biblical encouragement.

I am completely satisfied and fast delivery a plus!
