I guess I should have done more research. This was basically a preview to the complete story book. I didn't notice that this book is called a 'concept board book' and it's basically 5 board like pages with a sentence each. I tried reading this to my 2 year old and we spent more time getting settled in bed and tucking her in than what it took to read it. She was so upset that it was over so quickly. Neither my 2 nor my 3 year old care for these books.
too young for a 4 yr old. my daughter loves Lady bug girl so I bought this one thinking she would like it, but it wsa way below her age group. should have gotten it 3 yrs ago.
I was excited to purchase my first book in the Ladybug Girl series. I call my almost 1 year old Grand-Love Lady Bug so when I came across this series is was beyond excited. I love the front cover and texture of this book. It will be perfect for a young and curious toddler. The book is simple to read and the illustrations are beautiful. I can not wait to purchase the other books.
I bought this book for a little girl I used to babysit. The little girl & her mom enjoy doing things that maybe not every mom & daughter do now a days. I love that Ladybug Girl & Her Mama do things outdoors together. The book is short, but when you are reading it to a 2 year old, you want something that can keep their attention before they run off & do something else. Would recommend!
Adorable book about the time ladybug girls spends with her mama. Very sweet, covering a range of activities -- gardening and worms, dog-walking, movies, store, baking. In the end they don't want the day to ever end. It's a board book, so not as long as the ladybug girl stories -- more suited to a younger child. My daughter is 2.5 and it was perfect for her (although we can also do some of the longer ladybug girls with her). Might be a nice first read-on-your-own or read-to-me book for an older child.
My daughter received a couple of Ladybug Girl books from my sister when she was born. She is now 2 & 1/2 and is now starting to really get into them. I ordered this book in particular because there was a picture of it on the back of another one and my daughter requested it. She loves this one and says on every page, "thats you mommy and thats meeee!" We love reading this one together :) These are quick, simple books and she enjoys them very much!
This was a mother's day gift from my daughter to her Mom and they loved it. However I can understand fans of the books being disappointed that the text and illustrations are not originals and recycled from the earlier books. I feel like that should have made that known to potential buyers. Nevertheless this is a sweet story of a wonderful day shared between a mama & her ladybug girl. You can't find any fault with that.
This short boardbook narrates a day's activities for Ladybug Girl and her mother. Unlike the other books in the Ladybug Girl series, this does not include a lesson. Though the story is brief, it is clear the mother and daughter have a special bond. I appreciate that Lulu/Ladybug Girl demonstrates respect and enjoys being with her family. This is a sweet little book for a young girl.
