My three kids love the Leslie Patricelli books (and so do I), and this one did not disappoint! It's a cute little book that talks about Halloween (pumpkin carving, picking out a costume, trick-or-treating). The baby in these stories, as always, is adorable and the graphics are always of interest to my two year old twins. And, I might be in the majority here, but I like that the illustrations keep things open by mentioning dressing up as all sorts of typically gender-specific things like a cowboy, ballerina, princess, pirate, etc.

We are big fans of Halloween at our house and this book is a great addition to our autumn/Halloween collection. It is written in a similar fashion to other books from the author and my toddler has fully enjoyed it today. The illustrations are eye catching for her and she has asked us to reread it a number of times already. The quality of the books seems on par with other Patricelli board books and I have no doubt it will last for a long time. Well worth the money that was spent to purchase it.

We made the pumpkins from this book and the kids freaked out, so cute. Good way to tell young kids its not really scary but its ok to feel a little scared because that makes sense. It tells them what will happen for the holiday and what they can do

Its been several months since halloween and this is still my kid's favorite book. It is great for preparing kids for their first trick or treating experience. All of the Leslie Patricelli's books we own never seem to get old in our home!

My children *love* the Patricelli books. They are 2 and 4. This one did not disappoint! My 4 year old loves to relate to her memories of Halloween through it, and my 2 year old loves relating the character of the book - be it about potty training, trick or treating, or drinking mommy's coffee! Definitely recommend these short, quirky, fun books!

My toddlers love the Patricelli board books, and this one is on par with the others in the series. Grown-ups probably won't get the appeal of these stories - the silliness isn't quite as relatable as say in the Sandra Boyton books. However, my kiddos love this book and ask me to read it again and again, so kids seem to love it!

This book is a hit with my 14 month old son. I'm a Halloween fan so I spotted it and knew my baby would love the stunning illustrations and vibrant colors. The beauty of the book is the story line-basically a baby who's a bit scare of Halloween and the scary costumes falls in love when he realizes there's candy and treats along the way.Although my son is not skittish, this book would probably be great for a child with Halloween or trick-or-treating or even costume anxiety. The smile on my little ones face and considering I don't get bored reading it 20 times in a row gets my 5 stars.

My son turned 2 in September and this book was one of his birthday presents. We read at least 2 books every night and after 3 nights of reading this book he had it almost completely memorized and insisted on being a ghost for Halloween. The pictures, layout and everything about this book is amazing!
