A good story. A clean read with dialogue, courtship and grand wedding. The hero and heroine were both likeable. Whatever issues arose the characters resolved with communication, which was refreshing. Usually communication is hurriedly inserted in the final pages of a story. I wish the secondary characters had had more depth and story to them. And since the hero is a duke, why does the author keep having him addressed as "my lord" or "the lord of Melton"? Shouldn't it have been "your grace" or "the duke of Melton."
The story was sweet ,characters are a bit bland but nice. I was very bothered by inconsistency in hero being addressed by servants and others. He should have always been addressed as ,Your Grace. Very poor editing.
Claiming the Heart of a Duke is a nice sweet historical. It is easy reading and kept me enraged My only criticism would be all the peripheral characters are so shallow and undeveloped. Sometimes its interesting to see them fleshed out some. Maybe best friend, sister etc. Otherwise a good read."I received a pre release copy of this book in exchange for an honest review".
I thoroughly enjoyed this great historical romance with great characters, romance and intrigue. They had their problems, but the ending was great. I plan to read more books from this author. I received an advance review copy in exchange for an honest review, and I highly recommend this book to lovers of this genre.
Short sweet clean and a good read, for a rainy afternoon enjoyed this book very much, nothing very well written
