"Till The End Of Time" is like a wonderful drink of refreshing water while wandering in the desert. After months of longing for more stories about the fabulous Donahue family, author Belle Calhoune gives us a breath of hope with the beginning of a new series that starts with Mac Donahue's mysterious sister, Callie, whom he was ecstatic to find near the end of the book of his life in the Seven Brides for Seven Brothers series. Callie had been adopted by a very wealthy, but hurting, family from Savannah, GA through a black market agency, and her existence prior to her adoption had been all but wiped from history. Callie's book begins shortly after she discovers that her adoptive parents purposely hid Mac's existence from her, having told her he was dead. "Till The End Of Time" weaves a moving tale of Callie leaving her adoptive family's mansion to try to make sense of her life, and her attempt to find happiness. I found the story believable because, though I enjoyed a wonderful childhood and great family life, some of my friends did not, and I ached for them as they tried to come to terms with sometimes unbelievable intrigue. I thoroughly enjoyed "Till The End Of Time" and eagerly look forward to the rest of the stories in this series where glimpses of events in the lives of the Donahues will appear.
A good book to follow after " The Donahue Boys". It brought closure to Mac and Callie's childhood and their ultimate reunion. Loved the romance between Callie and Jax, and the family and friends Callie acquired when she was moved to Savanah. Sweet, clean story.
Ms. Calhoune's books have always been excellent reads for me and this one was no different. I went into it thinking that it couldn't measure up to the Donahue books, but I was sadly mistaken because I do believe this series will be the equivalent and not just because of glimpses of the Donahue's. Callie is Mac's long lost sister and this book is truly her own as you delve more into her life. Filled with faith, family, friendships, and several tear jerking moments I am already eagerly anticipating the next installment. As always, Ms. Calhoune celebrates life in her books and helps remind us of the things in life that are truly important.
I had a hard time putting this novel down...it was that interesting. For me it was never wait to change plans always pray so God can show you the answer. Be honest with people you love & if you hsve something to tell them that might hurt them dont wait till its to late & they gind out another way. You never know when there is someone lurking in the background just waiting to hurt you. Also never give up on God.
Callie Duvall is reunited with her brother Mac, she was adopted through the black market and told her brother was dead. She believed her adopted father when he told her that. Mac was adopted by a very loving couple the Donahue's who also adopted five other young boys. Mac always insisted he had a sister but the agency said no. Well Mac finally made the connection to find her. Jax Holden has been smitten with her since they were very young but now he is in love with her and he needs to let her know because he cannot live without her. This is the first which is about six girls who are very best friends.
I admit--I was not ready to say goodbye to the Donahue's so I was really looking forward to this book. I read it in 1 day. I couldn't put it down because I fell in love with these characters. In true Belle Calhoune fashion, I want to know the other characters and can't wait to read the other books in the series.It is a sweet read and makes me want to visit Savannah and Tybee Island. You will not be disappointed in this book, especially if you enjoyed the Donahue series.Be blessed :)
Belle Calhoune has done it again. As much as I hated leaving her Seven Brides, Seven Brothers series behind, her secrets of Savannah series promises to be just as engaging from the women's point of view. Six close friends, torn apart by life and secrets, find themselves back in Savannah, no longer running from their dreams and lost loves in some cases. Callie, the biological sister of Mac of the Seven series, and Jax, her childhood friend, find themselves thrown together by Miss Hattie, when strife comes to Callie's adopted family. Nothing like a good "wait, we were friends, now there's a zing here" story to keep the pages moving. I've got to add that Calhoune writes about Christian issues in a very practical and straightforward way, never preachy but always real. I appreciate that and can't wait for the next installment.
I enjoyed this book. However, I felt like Belle focused too much on the friends of the main female character in order to build a platform for her next book. This is just an honest review but I thought it was well written as the seven Brothers series.
