I did a lesson on letter writing and used this book as a read aloud. The children really enjoyed the book. I felt as if it were a perfect choice for a read aloud for the lesson. If you are looking for a way to teach letter writing to children, this is a great book! I really enjoyed reading it : )
I was disappointed that I couldn't see some sample pages, so I bought this on faith. It's a fine book for instruction, but is not a very wonderful story. I will use it, but the kids won't ever ask to borrow that book.
I was so happy receiving this book. It is a perfect way to introduce, teach and review letter writing.I can't wait to use this in the classroom and share with other teachers. What a great text! Nancy Loewen's other books look worthwhile as well. I guess I'll have to do some more purchasing!

In a digital age where everything written is being lost and where students will not be taught to write in cursive writing, this book makes the problem a bit more appealing to a child!
