"Tucket's Ride", by Gary Paulsen is a good book. It has action and adventure emotion, and romance. One part of the story when Tucket takes aim with his rifle , but everyone else has there guns pointed at him and they all fired at the same time. If you like action books, than "Tucket's Ride" is the book for you.
My son loves to read all of the Tucket series books. This book is a great value because it includes 5 books in one. My son does not put reading on the top of his favorite thing to do however the Tucket series has caught his interest. I recommend this book to anyone with a elementary age boy.
The book that I am reading is called Tuckets Ride. It is the second book in the series. It is about a fifteen year-old boy named Tucket that travels with two orphans across the west. The three have had many scary experiences in there journey like being kidnapped by outlaws and others and always seem to escape.This is a great book by Gary Paulsen. He describes the places they are at, the weather and the looks of things really well. He makes it easy to picture these things. This book is full of adventure and surprises. This book made me want to read it more since I am about his age. It is a good book to me because as I mentioned about my age and going through stuff, like kidnapping, that other people my age go through. During the whole book it is kind of like a history lesson because Paulsen gives information about the Wild West.
Tucket's Ride is about a 15 year old boy named Francis Tucket who's on a western adventure to find his parents. In Mr.Tucket,Francis gets a rifle for his fourteenth birhday. He drops back to practice shooting when he gets kidnapped by Pawnee indians.He goes to the indian camping grounds and gets rescued by a western man named Mr.Jason Grimes. He is one-armed man who teaches Francis to live by the way of the wilderness. After all that, Francis and Grimes part ways.On Call Me Francis Tucket, he saves 2 kids from dying.Their father died from a sickess called Chorela. Francis takes the two kids with him on his journey to find his parents on the Oregon Trail.I really liked Tucket's Ride because it's so exciting and a really good book. I think that every good book should be read and reviewed.So I think you should pick up a copy of Tucket's Ride and get to reading.
I recommend that you read this book because it is the best book ever. It's filled with a lot of action and excitement. I can't wait to read the next book.
I'd read anything Gary Paulson writes. He has the heart and mind of a thirteen year old. He puts you right in the story!
