Originally published as a weekly comic some years ago, it is herein collected. It tells the story of a woman on a quest, and some people involved. Very graphic sex and violence, with story and art by the great Howard Chaykin.
Fantastic book from Howard Chaykin that does an excellent job of being erotic while telling a suspenseful story. Transvestite / vampire / prostitutes on the hunt for a film reel from the vaticans porn collection and excellent art and pacing makes this a very memorable story. Simply Awesome!!!
I've been a long time fan ofHoward's for years, and I love his work. Yet, I never read Black Kiss until recently. All I can say is that this book definitely offended all the right people at the time of its release, and probably still does to this day. If you have never read this book, give it a shot. I don't think Howard has ever written anything that I did not enjoy. And thanks to Dynamite for putting this together in an affordable package.
If you haven't read Black Kiss, then you don't know Howard Chaykin. And if that's the case the you are missing out on one of the 20th century's greatest storytellers at work. Smutty, raunchy, dirty, perverted and thrilling while drawing you into the mystery whose answer will surprise and shock you.
