I am not a fan of Wiersbe. Bought it because it was required for a group study I was doing. The material is poorly written and not what I expected. If you can, try a different study on Daniel... which is an amazing book.
This is a good study with lots of helpful, short notes from Warren's commentaries which are especially relevant for young believers working on the prophetic section of the book. I like the openended question each lesson of writing down something that the reader has observed directly out of the text. I like the closing 2 questions each week--what one thing do you want to focus on and a prayer based on the study.A problem with the study: Not all questions were carefully proofed. There are several errors in verses cited, Daniel's dream in chapter 7 labeled as Belshazzar's dream, etc. Also the differentiation of application for a follower of Christ & not is not always clearly noted & is confusing for new believers.I would recommend it with the above vaeat.
I have used the Wiersbe Study guides several times, but am not using this time as another guide is more in line with what I want to do this year. In general, I like his publications.
This was a great companion study to the A Deeper Look at Daniel: Spiritual Living in a Secular World (Lifeguide in Depth Bible Studies) . Together they were perfect.
Gives you added thought and insight on the lives and prophecies of Daniel. I've not finished the book, but what I read I'm so glad that I purchased the book.
In depth thinking and thought provoking study. Love Wiersbe studies. Have used his commentaries for years and just discovered these..
