This is a colorful book with peek through windows. There are traditional Catholic prayers (Lord's Prayer, Hail Mary, Angel of God) as well as simple prayers for various times of the day that are aptly illustrated with scenes young children can relate to -- wake-up (The sun is up and I am too! I say good morning, God, to you.), meals, playing (Thanks for balls and thanks for bats, for ducks and trucks and funny hats. Thanks for slides and thanks for swings. Thank you, God, for all these things.), going to bed, etc. On each page there's also a question or suggested activity ("Pretend to wake up. Yawn and stretch your arms." "What do you like to eat for breakfast?" "What do you see outside your window?") The carrying handle and clasp that opens and closes are additional attractions for a toddler.
Our granddaughter is really into books, so we purchased this as a baptism gift for her. She really looks cute carrying it around. It's a great bedtime book, as well. We say a prayer and show her the pictures. This is a perfect gift to get your child acclimated to saying prayers. It's a great book for them to take to church as well, giving them something to keep themselves occupied should they get a little antsy.
Excellent quality time activity. Baby learns the joy of prayer. Suggestions are offered for special activities to incorporate into the prayers that bring smiles from baby and mom, too.
We use this and another for church instead of letting my twins rip into the hymns. They love the pictures and the handle is really cute!
Searched for awhile to find a actual catholic book that had hail mary and our father prayer in it. Read it to my daughter every night.
Good pictures. Most of the prayers are not ones I recognize.
This was a gift for my granddaughter's Baptism. She'll be prepared and familiar with our faith's prayers as her parents read this sweet book to her as she grows up.
Super cute! Bought as a baptismal gift. I like the handle and it does have Hail Mary and the Our Father prayers inside. Those were the prayers I was looking for.
