This workbook is a review of multiplication and division. It contains the concepts of multiplication and division; multiplication tables and mutiplers; multiplying by a single digit number, by 10, by a two-digit number and by a three-digit number; dividing by 10, by two-digit numbers and by three-digit numbers. Each new concept is introduced in a short absorb section. The absorb section primarily focuses on a single skill or concept. Key terms are highlighted for easy identification. The apply section then gives children practice in that skills. Each concept is followed by extra practice pages to give children opportunities for further reinforcement of the skills learned. This book is arranged in a systematic way, with each new skill building on those learned previously. We really like it. My son often follows the order set out in the book; however, when he needs extra practice or review in a certain skill, I will use this book an excellent resource for tutoring him. We used this workbook last year. As he has entered the fourth grade, I think it's a little easier for him.For fourth grade appropriate practice, I simply used the free printable worksheets on the Beestar website. It is probably the best among the many learning sites. The worksheets are well-designed and have both time and accuracy targets set for your child to practice. If you are like me, you will be glad to find that sometimes free stuff is even better.
My son is using this to improve his math skills. The program builds well, provides good examples and challenges.
Easy to understand, with answer key.
