This is a must read for anyone interested in Biblical prophecy. It almost seems like the timing for the understanding of this book coincides with what is described in Daniel 12 as "knowledge" that is "increased" in the "time of the end". Although this book is not canon it is a great historical reference that should be learned.
I had heard of the book of Enoch before but had never read it. This was very interesting indeed. The only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is I was looking forward to a little more "commentary" from the author , but what is included is informative. Recommend to anyone interested in biblical studies.
This is an amazing book to read. It clarifies quite a bit of the bible old testament giving more detail to events that happened. Enoch is referenced in the Bible in many locations as a history book the apostles and others read during their time on earth.
If you are looking for an in depth commentary on the Book of Enoch, you will be disappointed as much as I was. You can easily find the B of E for free in PDF form on the internet. The first 75% of this book is in fact that, a copy of the Book of Enoch, prefaced with a short summary presupposing it's validity. The last 25% is rather footnotes than an in depth study. A few comments and charts here and there of importance but hardly a dissection. So, like I said.... if you are looking for a verse by verse commentary, move one. Otherwise go download the pdf for free.
Ken Johnson does an excellent commentary. The Book of Enoch is an excellent book to help us all understand what happened in the beginning at, before, and after Creation. It wasn't Aliens Folks! It was Fallen Angels. Enoch tells us all about what happened.
I had always wondered how the giants came to be and what happened to them. This book explains all about it and it gave me some new insight to the Old Testament days. I would recommend it to anyone that is interested in history of the Bible.
this book helps provide a "non-religious" view of ancient history and nicely ties to the scriptural account. Mr. Johnson does a great job of putting everything in perspective and explaining issue. This is a great read for anyone seeking knowledge and understanding.
No it should not be in the Bible. Enoch made that clear; however, it is a great book that goes in depth in certain areas. It does not contradict what the Bible says, it just gives you more information. This book also has commentary and puts in italics parts of the Book of Enoch that is believed to be added by the Gnostics and not a part of the original Book of Enoch. Remember, Enoch was a man of God. He did not die, but was taken by God. It is believed that he will be one of the two witnesses that will come back during the Tribulation years.
