This book is wonderful! The activities are fun and have a surprising amount of variety to them. They'll keep my kids busy for HOURS AND HOURS! :-) Definitely a smart investment for parents who like to bring coloring books to church, or even for teachers. The activity sheets are reproducible. I also have to comment on the drawings--they are ADORABLE!
If you're looking for a book that teaches important lessons yet has a light, whimsical fun style, this book is the one to choose! Ms. Galvin has a deft hand with the artwork and her activities are wonderful for making learning fun. My kids loved the book and enjoyed both the artwork and the activities!
I teach 2nd grade CCD and this book has really come in handy to help my students learn their prayers and other info. It has a lot of activities to make learning fun. I use a lot of the pages for homework.
Having used Jennifer Galvin's two other titles, My Catholic Pray and Play Activity Book and My Catholic Lent and Easter Activity Book, I was thrilled to see this one out in time for me to use it with this year's second grade CCD class. My students enjoy the whimsical diversion from their standard text that Ms. Galvin's worksheets provide, and I appreciate being able to give them something they perceive as pure fun that I know is still imparting the lessons of faith and devotion that I'm there to teach. I can't wait to start using these Christmas pages.
I love the drawings and range of activities. Most will not be too difficult for my 6 year olds in Faith Formation class this coming fall. I always like to have something fresh and different on hand for them, and the drawings are simple, yet thought-provoking.
