Angus decides to run away from home because his mom won't let him be rude, even if he is in a bad mood.Angus feels like a giant when he stomps out the door. But in the big world, he feels small again. He missed his mom and his pets. He wanted to go home, but could he. Angus turned around, and guess who was there? His mom! With his pets. Ready to go home? Angus nodded. His mom handed him his lunch. He'd forgotten it.This shows unconditional love - kind of a prodigal son story.My only concern over the story was his anger towards his pets. With pet abuse nowadays, really don't like to see anger towards pets in books, if the author had asked my opinion in a writing group. Animals are small and defenseless, and rely on us talking sweetly to them. So, would have changed that part. Otherwise, liked the mom forgiving him, and Angus learning his lesson that being in a bad mood doesn't justify being angry and rude. 3.5 stars
