Written by G. Willow Wilson with art by Takeshi Miyazawa, Nico Leon and Adrian Alphona and colors by Ian Herring, Ms. Marvel: Super Famous - the 5th volume in the Ms. Marvel series is - I have to be honest - a little disappointing. It's still good, mind you. It's just that it seems to fall short of the fairly awesome level established in the first four volumes for reasons I will go into. Volume 5 contains Ms. Marvel #1-6 for 2015.It's been a while - maybe a year - since the events of Volume 4: Last Days, and a lot has happened. Ms. Marvel, aka Kamala Khan, has joined the Avengers which apparently is fairly awesome for Kamala (though you'd need to read that storyline in The Avengers as most of that is off-stage here). But as Kamala is learning, a person - even a superhero - only has so much time in a day and the more time you spend on one thing the less time you have for other things, like school, family and relationships. All of which are starting to suffer for Kamala. Particularly her relationship with Bruno, who has apparently, to Kamala's surprise and chagrin, moved on. Another surprise and chagrin moment comes when Kamala discovers that Ms. Marvel's image is being used to promote the corporate-backed gentrification of Jersey City.The best part of this volume, for me anyway, centers around a new character, Ayesha, whom it turns out - again to Kamala's utter shock and surprise - that her brother Aamir is considering for marriage. Witness this bit of dialogue from their first meeting:Ayesha: " 'The spice is life.' "Kamala (stunned): "Did you just make a _Dune_ reference?"Ayesha (coy smile): "Maybe."Kamala: "Please marry my brother.
