When a much-loved tale comes alive in the voice of a storyteller, the differences are immediately apparent. There is a cadence to the language of this small beauty, a reach for the child's listening focus that is matched by the lively sketches accompanying each page. I buy a great many books for children and was happy to stumble into this one. It is both fable and tale, a children's world of where small truths come alive and right action hurts no one. It's a gem.

An exciting, fun, interactive book for children! The illustrations and story where inviting and an easy read for young children. The author did a phoneminal job in creating a story that also can lead to fun and creative theatrics and classroom discussion. I recommend this book for youth group, schools and bed time stories for families.

Thumbs up to Mrs Frasier Dasent for the adorable book. I read it out loud to my 6 year old niece who loved it, especially the call and response parts. Looking forward to more books by Auntie Jo Jo!!
