Although I was raised in the church, spending years in several denominations as we relocated over six decades, yet this was a subject we never heard preached or taught! Why? As the author points out, "salvation" is hardly ever mentioned in the gospels (although it's vital). So, what WAS the main subject of Jesus' teaching? - His Kingdom, plain and simple. It's referred to about 100 times, and it wasn't just the theme of His, but of His apostles' message too, just as He trained them. Bercot points out the four natural requirements of any kingdom, how kingdoms are run, and how God's Kingdom differs from the kingdoms/governments of this world. We've gone through it 3 times. It's a very helpful introduction to the subject.

After believing that Jesus Christ, the Son of God (God manifested in the flesh) shed his blood, died on the cross for sin, was buried and resurrected from the dead on the third day. Then by Grace through Faith you need to: Repent, get water baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and receive the Holy Ghost- with the initial sign of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. Now, we live a life of Holiness by Grace via the Holy Ghost and produce the fruits of the Kingdom of God, implementing them in all of life.(Ref. scriptures read: John 3:3-5; Acts 2:4, 38-39; Acts 10:43-48; Rom. 14:17; Eph. 2:8; 1 Cor. 15:1-4 and others)
...reading this could challenge how you live your life, and how you perceive your relationship with the eternal King. Recommended!
Bercot explains the kingdom of God in wonderfully simple terms. He doesn't compromise the truth of the Bible either. This is a great book to add to your kingdom library.
