I love this New Testament. It was translated by many scholars, who have interpreted the Word of God from the origianl Greek text, by presenting it to the laity in our culture today with rich translations without misinterpreting the meaning of the original sacred authors. The notes at the end of each Book supply explanatory materials which the ordinary reader can understand without having a biblcal background.
This came in good time and is the translation I prefer. It has footnotes (explanations of what the you might not understand) at the end of each chapter, which makes it easy to use as reference--the child I gave it to is using the footnotes--increases her interest in the Bible.
Very nice, pocket size NT for Catholics. Print large enough to actually read, always a nice feature in a compactBible or devotional. Includes explanatory notes.
THIS LITTLE BOOK IS WONDERFUL. I CAN TAKE THE NEW TESTAMENT ANYWHERE WITH ME AND READ IT AT ANY TIME. IT IS SMALL AND LIGHT ENOUGH TO CARRY IN MY BAG. THE PRINT IS SMALL, BUT THEN SO IS THE BOOK.
This little volume is an excellent traveling companion. Easy to carry and handy to have for a spiritual moment. Have it as a guide to the Holy Land tours or pilgrimage.
This bible is small and light and very durable. This purchase was a replacement for the same bible that had sustained travel damage over the last 15 years.
I liked this New Testament, but I really wanted and need the Pocket Size, as the print in the Vest Pocket Size is too small for me to really do a good job of reading it. Let me know where I can purchase the Pocket Edition of the Revised New American BibleThank you.John
This a excellent little pocket bible. The type is very good for this type of compact bible. I have seen some that were impossible, bit this one is very readable. I like how it lays open nicely in your hands. My fifth grade son reads from this everyday.
